Paul D. Halblaub, Sr.'s Obituary
A funeral service for Paul D. Halblaub, 61 of Newark will be held Friday October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Priest officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery.
Mr. Halblaub died Monday October 5, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born December 7, 1953 in Newark to Karlton George and Ruby (Mummey) Halblaub.
Paul was employed by Walker Manufacturing, Ohio Department of Transportation and Staggers Excavating. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, frog gigging and playing pool. He liked operating heavy equipment and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Webb) Halblaub, whom he married March 30, 1974; daughter, Michele (Curtis) Thomas of Newark; son Paul (Kati) Halblaub of Newark; sister, Dorothy Broseus of Newark; brothers, Karl Halblaub of Pataskala, Francis (Toni) Halblaub of Newark, Keith Halblaub of Newark; grandchildren, Kristopher (Kaitlyn) Halblaub, Austin (Sandy) Halblaub, Hunter Halblaub, Ciara Thomas , Quinntana Meyers, Braxton Halblaub, Aiden Halblaub, Deshawn Jones, Brooklyn Jones, Shantea Jones; great-grandchild, Bailey Bledsoe; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother David Halblaub.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday October 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio, P. O. Box 430 Newark, Ohio 43058-9909. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
