Paul H. Campbell's Obituary
A funeral service for Paul H. Campbell, 73 of Newark will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 5 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Sherman Romine and Mr. Campbell's niece Lisa Willey officiating.
Mr. Campbell died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Newark Healthcare Centre. He was born in Newark, November 9, 1938 to the late Lewis E. and Annabell (Moulton) Campbell.
Mr. Campbell had been employed with Roper Manufacturing, Larson Manufacturing and the families restaurant, Louie’s Pizza. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially playing golf, fishing at Buckeye Lake and T.J. Evans, hunting and baseball. He was a lifetime fan of the Detroit Tigers. His special love in life was his grandchildren and would travel to support them and their various ball teams.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beth (Swan) Campbell, whom he married July 9, 1960; daughter, Holly (Stephen) Benner of Newark; son, Scot (Susan) Campbell of Thornville; grandchildren, Jason Ryan, Amber Campbell, Dustin (Jennifer) Benner, Benjamin Benner, Brittney (Tory) Worstell, Catey (Robert) Hoisington; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Haylee, Shelby, Briana, Cameron, Abigail, Kristin; sister, Avonelle Willey of Newark; brothers, Wayne (Shirley) Campbell, Ronald (Karen) Campbell, Robert (Sue Ann) Campbell, all of Newark, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Vern Ridenbaugh.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, George Campbell and Walter Campbell.
Calling hours will be observed Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m.at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
