Devoted wife of the late John B. “Jack” Schmidt. Survived by loving children, Susan (Jeff) Grindrod, Tom (Amy) Schmidt; the late Ann Schmidt-Gates. Beloved grandchildren, Meghann (Brad) Chute, Alexis Grindrod, Grady Schmidt, Danny Schmidt, Jill (Will) Rankin; great-grandchildren, Will, Cecilia, Calvin and Elliot. Dear sister of the late Jane Kidd and Luther “Red” Kidd. Also survived by son in-law, Gary Gates and five special nieces. Passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at the age of 89. Visitation at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7770 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m.Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Fr. Tom Kreider, celebrant. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Queen City Hospice, 8250 Kenwood Crossing Way, Suite 200, Cincinnati, OH 45236
