Patricia J. Miller's Obituary
Patricia Jean Miller, 85 of Heath passed away on November 17, 2017, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.
She was born on February 27, 1932, to John Henry and Loretta Ellen Reed. She graduated in 1949 from Hebron High School as Valedictorian of her class. She enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes play football, but mostly wished they’d show more of the band. Patricia spent most of her days doing the newspaper puzzles and reading books. She was a member of the AKC and enjoyed attending dog shows to show her Pembroke Welsh Corgis, winning many awards along the way.
Patricia was also an active member of the Order Eastern Star, Licking Chapter #551 and Christian Endeavor United Methodist Church.
Patricia is survived by two sons, Richard (Marsha) Miller, Gerald (Diana) Miller both of Heath; daughter, Donna Labelle of Little Chute, WI; sister, Esther “Pug” Mohler of Newark; eight grandchildren, Athena (Scott), Nicholas, Amanda, Jennifer, Christina, Kimberly, Nicole, Amber and Tommy; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Briar, River, Kamdyn, Kiersten, Cadence; and loving dog Summer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nelson Miller; grandson, Kevin Donald Miller; brothers, Frank and Howard Reed; and sisters, Helen Morgan, Cora Freas and Margaret Loughman.
Visiting hours will be held from 11AM - 1 PM. on Wednesday, December 6 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main St., Newark where funeral services will take place at 1 PM, with Pastor Nick Shaw of Christian Endeavor United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Newark Memorial Gardens, 4244 Marion Rd., Newark.
