Ora Jean Foucht's Obituary
A funeral service for Ora Jean Foucht, 84, of Heath will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Katrick officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Foucht died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Kindred Transitional and Rehabilitation Center of Newark. She was born February 10, 1930 in Clarksburg, W. Va. to Paul Eugene and Anna Mae (Buffington) Huber.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Newark Zonta. She was a graduate of Newark High School, Class 1947. She was employed as office manager and par optometric assistant to Dr. Thomas Brannon and was the secretary to the administrator at Newark Health Care Centre and in 1982 named employee of the year. Her past times included sewing, cross stitching, crocheting and knitting. She was a former leader and volunteer in the Heart of Ohio Girl Scout Council. She was an avid OSU Buckeye Football fan.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles E. Foucht, whom she married October 27, 1949; son, Stephen (Jean) Foucht of Goldsboro, NC; grandson, Craig Stephen (Nikki) Foucht of Goldsboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Michael Anthony, Margo Paige, Matthew Paul; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay and Rolando Alvarez; grandson, Michael Paul; sisters, Alice Hughes and Evelyn Meyers.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday evening, November 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main St.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Kindred of Newark and Hospice of Central Ohio for the excellent care Jean received.
