Ocean A. Houston's Obituary
Ocean A. Houston, 87 of Heath died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Newark Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 26, 1929 in Gore, Ohio to William and Lucy S. (Brown) Tucker.
She moved to the area in 1963. She was an active member of White Chapel United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was also an avid bowler and golfer. She was a 1947 graduate of Logan High School. She was a former employee of Canard Jewelry Shop. She deeply loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Stanley K. Houston, whom she married July 3, 1949; children, Gary (Karla) Houston of Grenada, MS, Karen Pitcock of Roseville, OH, Lorna (Matt) Stanley of Smithville, W.VA.; grandchildren, James (Valerie) Norris of Newark, Greg (Allison) Norris of Columbus, Eric (Molly) Lane of Roseville, Lisa (Dave) Patton of Rockledge, FL, Chrissy (John) Dwyer and Gary Houston, Jr. of Grenada, MS, Cody (Cassie) Stradley of Newark; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bobbi Tucker, Teddy Tucker, Angie Tucker; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Parsons; brothers, George Tucker, Dale Tucker, Wade Tucker; granddaughter, Misty Giffin.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street
