Normajean Crane's Obituary
A funeral service celebrating the life of Normajean Crane, 96 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Vensil & Chute | Newark with Pastor Robert Cassady officiating.
Mrs. Crane passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Hearth Brook, Newark. She was born October 12, 1929 in Reynoldsburg, OH to the late Aldra D. and Eva E. (Heimlich) Francis.
A graduate of Hebron School class of 1947, Mrs. Crane retired from Owens-Corning in 1986. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Newark.
Normajean loved being with her family and friends. She was active with her church families through the years, even helping her sister make crafts for Bible School. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family; bowling, fishing and working with young people. She had a servant's heart and strived to serve The Lord to the best of her ability.
Survivors include her children, Ralph (Charlotte) Johnston, Bruce (Diana) Johnston and Patricia (Randy) Green; step-children, Rev. Larry (Cathy) Crane, Juanita Sweitzer, Linda Crane, John (Amy) Crane; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John D. Crane; a daughter, Sandra Kane; a step-daughter, Sherri Wilson; grandchildren, Deborah Johnston and Joshua Crane; three brothers and a sister.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church.
