Norma J. Eggenschwiler's Obituary
On Monday May 15, 2023, Norma Eggenschwiler, 83, went to join her Lord and Savior. She was confident of her heavenly home. She trusted in Jesus and is with Him.
Norma was a well-loved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. First and foremost, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and enjoyed singing praises to Him. She was also a prayer warrior, and frequently reminded others of how she was praying for them. Her zeal for life came from an overflow of her appreciation for His beautiful creation and took many forms. Some of her favorite things in life included tending to her many beautiful flowers, cooking pies, cakes, and enjoying meals with friends and family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her father (Stephen), mother (Hazel), and brother Steve. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jim; son, Jim Jr. (Sherill); grandchildren, Natalie (Rob), Kelsey, and Graham; and three vibrant great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Karen Santa; nephews, Greg (Nel) Santa, Scott (Jocelyn) Santa and Jeff (Abby) Santa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The Redemption Church of Licking County, 5026 Jacksontown Road, Newark, OH 43056-9377.
Calling hours will be from 5pm-7pm Friday, May 19th in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2p.m. Saturday, May 20th with Pastor John Schouten officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
