Mrs. Evans was also my 6th grade teacher, but so much more than that. She was genuine, caring and so laid back. Our class was very close and did almost every event together and she would talk about the closeness we had, even just a few years ago when I last spoke to her. She was supportive of her students and well respected. She also was one of my mother's best friends. I had a handful of teachers throughout my school career that I feel truly made a difference and she was at the top of the list. May you all find comfort in knowing she was well thought of by so many.

We are sorry to hear of Nancy's death. She was a wonderful teacher to me at Cherry Valley and a dear friend to our family at 2nd Presbyterian Church.
Evans family, I too had Mrs. Evans for 6th grade at Cherry Valley. She always made everyone feel so confident and special, a great person/teacher among many great ones at Cherry Valley that impacted so many lives. Thank you for sharing her with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Nancy was a veteran teacher who made a difference in the lives of her students. Rest in eternal peace, Nancy.
Mrs. Evans was a very special part of my memories of Cherry Valley...she was a great teacher and one that I certainly respected. My condolences to her family.
I was saddened to read of the passing of Mrs. Evans. I had her for 6th grade as Cherry Valley. She taught me so much more than academics, she taught me how to be a good person to all. I know my life was blessed by her and will treasure what she taught me. I just seen her about a month ago, and smiled thinking how great she was. I only wish I would have approached her at that time and told her how much she meant to me when I was in her class. To all her family may God hold you in his hand as you grieve and move forward. She was definately a blessing to so many children over the years.
Jeff and family, so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. Margie (Longaberger) Huston.
