Mona K. Ridgway's Obituary
Mona Kay Ridgway, 75, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Friday evening, December 27, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Born August 21, 1949 in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Earl and Viola Mae (Longfellow) Longshore and a 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Mona attended Nashport United Methodist Church and was a member of Card Club for over 40 years. She worked at Lucky's Restaurant and Dairy Queen in Frazeysburg. Mona enjoyed reading, watching true crime detective shows, and doing crossword puzzles. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.
Mona is survived by her husband, John Byron Ridgway whom she married February 17, 1968; two daughters, Michaele Adrian (John) Druckenbrodt of Dresden and Heather Dawn (C.J.) Mercer of Frazeysburg; five grandchildren, John Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Amanda Druckenbrodt, Justin McGuire and Taylor McGuire; great grandchild, Jude Janes; sister, Lura Hayes of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Leroy Longshore.
Friends and family may call 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Wells officiating.
Mona will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
