Mike Field's Obituary
A funeral service for Mike Field, 61 of Thornville will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Mr. Field died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born October 19, 1952 in Zanesville to the late Frank Milstead and Dorothy Elizabeth (Uffner) Field. A 1970 graduate of Sheridan High School, Mr. Field worked as a mill craftsman at Strait & Lamp Lumber. He enjoyed woodworking, baseball and Sheridan Football. He loved his German Shepherd Dogs; and above all his family.
Survivors include his wife, Melody (Broceus) Field, whom he married October 18, 1975; sons, Joshua (Crystal) Field of Hebron and Jeremy (Tracey) Field of Thornville; grandchildren, Skylor, Braxton, Faith, Oliver and Greyson; sisters, Sis Charles of Newark, and Patty Idle of Riverside, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his faithful dog, Barron; brothers, Eugene Field, Jim Field, Bill Field, Scooter Tuthill, and Joe Pete Tuthill; and a sister, Connie Smart.
Calling hours will be12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday with funeral service immediately following at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
