Michael Douglas Stirling's Obituary
Michael Douglas Stirling, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, January 4, 2025 at his home.
He was born September 20, 1939 in Los Angeles, California, to the late Douglas M. and Ruth (Fotheringham) Stirling. He retired from IBM as an Administration Manager. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Zanesville and faithfully served numerous full-time missions for his church. He also participated in the Boy Scouts of America as a youth (Eagle Scout) and volunteered as a youth leader throughout his adult life.
Surviving are four sons, Michael Douglas (Kristin) Stirling, Jr. Todd Alan (Melissa) Stirling, Scott Walter (Jill) Stirling, and Rodney Miles (Aimee) Stirling; two daughters, Traci Lynne (Craig) Bell, and Robyn Lynne (Andy) Lewis; twenty-four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Robert (Patricia) Stirling and a sister, Kathleen (Byron) Todd.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith (Stringham) Stirling whom he married September 1,1962 and who died December 6, 2021.A private family graveside service will be held at Irville Cemetery in Nashport, Ohio.
A memorial service to honor Michael's life will be held on 10:00am Saturday, January 18, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville, Ohio.
