Mary A. Stuckey's Obituary
On July 25, Mary A. Stuckey, age 89, met our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our hearts are broken but we are rejoicing for her that she is with Him. Mary was born November 7, 1921 to the late Roy and Lena Baber of Jeffersonville. She was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.
Formerly of Heath, Ohio, where she lived for 45 years, Mary was a resident of Amber Park Assisted Living in Pickerington with her loving husband Ray, of 69 years, where she had many dear friends with whom she loved to play “Hand and Foot.” She was a beautician, an employee of Newark Air Force Base and Hopewell Federal Credit Union. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church after moving to Pickerington.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; sister Betty Christman of Kettering, Ohio; daughters, Julie (Bill) Koppert, Cinda Borden of Newark, Lynnette (Mark) Kline of Pickerington; grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Marshall, Mark (Donna) Masters, Andrew (Carrie) Koppert, Lindsey (Adam) Sayer, Marcia (Jeff) Campanelli ; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and infant daughter Marcia Ellen.
Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church 88 N. 5th Street, Newark, Ohio 43055 and Amber Park Assisted Living 401 Hill Road N., Pickerington, Ohio 43147. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 88 N. Fifth Street Newark with Pastor Mike Denman officiating. Graveside burial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be observed Wednesday July 27, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street and one hour prior to services at the church.
