Dear Ruthellen, my thoughts and prayers are with you and family for comfort, healing and peace. love, Shirley Lewis
Your family have my sympathy. I am so sorry I missed visitation hours for your mother. I remember her as a gracious and friendly woman. My father, Roy McKee, always thought so much of your mom and dad. Please know you have my sympathy. Jean
Ruthellen, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time!
When I think of Mary, one of the first things that I flash to is her talent for seeing the beauty in God's simple things. She always astounded me by taking things right from the field and turning them into stunning groupings for the side table at Mt. Pleasant. I particularly remember wondering how in the world she would top her cornucopia from the prior year---and marveling that in fact, she had! Her faithful service at church, at home, on the farm, and in the community will be quite a legacy for you all to live forward. I also have such good memories of the soup suppers and ice cream socials that Willard and she hosted for so many years---and how she managed to carry on that hospitality when it was just her at home. So that is another piece of "Mary legacy" for you to "live forward". Blessings on you all as you grieve, but especially as you find the way that you will celebrate her life.
I remember as a kid we got all of our milk from the Gault's. It was interesting watching them corral the cows in when it was milking time. We wanted to watch but practically needed a stool to stand on. I remember all the cats licking up the spilled milk when I was old enough to drive and go get the milk by myself. I can close my eyes and still remember the smell. Nice memories!! Extremely sweet gentle people!!!! Thanks for the sweet special memories!
Bill so sorry to hear about your Mom she will be greatly missed.
My childhood memories also include going to Mary and Willard's and eating popcorn, popcorn grown on their farm! My Grandmother Cecil Mae Gadd and my Great Grandparents, Amy and Clarence Gardner were wonderful friends and cousins to the Gaults. Mary will be missed but I know she is happy to be with the love of her life once more. In sweet Remembrance,
Jean and family, so sorry to hear of Mary's passing she was such a nice person ,and I enjoyed doing her hair for awhile ,,, Linda Pugh
Some of my happiest childhood memories include going to the farm next door (with my great-grandpa Elmer Eisert) to get milk and watching Willard and Mary milk the cows! Miss Mary you will be missed by all that were blessed to know you! My deepest sympathies to your entire family.
Wish we could be with you. May god bless you & your family in this time of sorrow.
