A graveside service for Mary Belle Brutchey, 93 of Newark will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery 275 N. Cedar Street on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Cory Campbell officiating.Mrs. Brutchey passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Sharon Brooke Assisted Living. She was born November 29, 1929 in Newark to George L. and Jesse E. (Smith) Wagner.Mary Belle, as she was affectionately called by her friends and family, retired in 2004 from Lazarus Department Store. She also previously worked for Daniels Jewelry and Uhlmans Department Store. She enjoyed traveling, whether it was summer camping trips across the United States or trips aboard to Europe. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, baking and preparing family meals for everyone’s pleasure.She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Jerry) Griffith of Mansfield, TX, Cheryl (Ken) Thorbahn of Bowling Green, Lynne Johnson of Gambier, Lori (Ken) Quick of Newark; grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Conner of Woodville, Jason Griffith of Mansfield, TX, James (Jennelle) Johnson of Pickerington, Kevin Thorbahn of Montrose, CO, Mary Quick and Anna Quick both of Newark; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Harriet (Michael) Yaccino of Mechanicsburg, PA, Teresa (Gene) Jones of Placentia, CA; brother, Bob (Gloria) Wagner of Hilo, HI; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Brutchey; sister, Delores (Herb) Breymaier; brother, George P.
