Marjorie Ann Williams' Obituary
Marjorie Ann Williams, 93 of Newark died peacefully December 5, 2023 at Courtyard of Newark. She was born February 5, 1930 in Hanover Township; Licking County, OH to the late Herbert and Estella (King) Hendershot.
A graduate of Frazeysburg High School, Marjorie was class queen her senior year. She was employed by the Licking County Juvenile Court and the Licking County Auditor; she retired with 48 years of service.
Marjorie took immense pleasure using her decorating talents at the Davis-Shai House and many Licking County Republican Party functions. She was a member of the Licking County Republican Women; Licking Memorial TWIGS; she enjoyed golfing, boating and anything involving flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at Jolly Pirate. Above everything, she loved her family; she had a particularly special bond with her grandson, Adam.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Cindy Moran) Williams; a grandson, Adam (Lisa) Williams; great granddaughters, Jessica (Sean) Gronas and Ellie Alt; great-great granddaughters, Adeline and Elise Gronas; a sister, Vivian (Bob) Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Helen (Charles) McCullough, Velma (Dick) Mershon and Barbara (Ron) Tallman.
Friends and family may visit from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME - NEWARK, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark, OH.
Private burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst, OH.
