Marjorie "Margie" Sheets' Obituary
NEWARK: A private service for Marjorie "Margie" Sheets, 76 of St. Louisville was held Thursday morning, June 18, 2015 at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sheets died Monday June 15, 2015 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Newark. She was born March 31, 1939 in Mt. Vernon to Clarence "Tad" and Elvira (Slotterbeck) Rine. Mrs. Sheets was employed as a cook for over 40 years with the LPN Nursing Facility and Goose Pond Retirement Village. She was a member of the St. Louisville Christian Church. She enjoyed square dancing and collecting Longaberger baskets. She was a graduate of Utica High School. She was a hard worker. She enjoyed cooking and baking and taught her family those skills. She attended many of her children and grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Gene) O'Hara of Newark, Donna Shaw of Mt. Vernon, Tammy (Tim) Troy of Howard, Jonathan (Tracy) Smith of Mt. Vernon, Marcy Overbey of Newark, Jesse (Jonathan) Southworth of Columbus; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews including Sherry Gray; special friend, Barb Drumm and Clara.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Sheets in 1990; and sister, Carol Hardin.
No calling hours will be observed.
