Marilyn M. Berger's Obituary
A funeral service for Marilyn M. Berger, 78 of St. Louisville will be held Monday February 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the St. Louisville United Methodist Church, 127 Sugar Street, St. Louisville with Pastor David Pagura officiating. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.
Mrs. Berger died Sunday February 8, 2015 at Zusman Hospice at the Ross. She was born February 10, 1936 in Cincinnati to Edgar and Martha (Wermuth) Burns.
Marilyn was a member of the St. Louisville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many types of music and dancing. She had a master’s degree in education. She had attended Wilmington College, University of Guam and Ohio University. She taught school for 25 years on four continents and two islands. She had a love for life. Her greatest love was teaching those with special needs.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David L. Berger, whom she married on August 15, 1958 in Cincinnati; children, Bill (Connie) Berger of Howard, Charles Berger of St. Louisville,Amy Jo Berger of Westerville, Karen (Craig) Stewart of Newark, Kurt (Beth) Berger of Fairfax Junction, VA, Renda (Keith) Presser of Japan, Chet Berger of Dayton, Renessa (Ray) Castro of Woodlands, TX, Juliane Cartaino, Hillsboro; thirty-seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael T. (Carol) Burns of Cincinnati, David L. (Elaine) Burns of Banning, CA; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Lillian Berger; son, Kip Berger.
Visitation will be observed Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the St. Louisville United Methodist Church.
