Marilyn Banks' Obituary
Marilyn Banks, 95, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday morning, December 4, 2021 at Pickaway Manor Care Center in Circleville, Ohio.
Born April 23, 1926 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Leo W. and Alberta E. (Miller) Dorsey. Mrs. Banks worked for the State Department of Education and retired in 1984 from the accounting department of Muskingum Area Technical College. She was a member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church and she enjoyed reading, playing cards and working outdoors in her flower gardens.
Surviving is one son, Wayne (Belinda) Banks of Heath, Ohio; one daughter, Dolly Jo Freeman of Gallaway, Ohio and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Dolores Stotts Secrist of Frazeysburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 62 years, Joseph H. Banks, Jr. whom she married August 4, 1943 and who died March 27, 2005; a son Joseph H Banks, III and a sister, Genevieve Dalton.
Private graveside memorial services will be at Irville Cemetery in Nashport, Ohio with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Joseph.
