Marie A. Cole's Obituary
A funeral service for Marie A. Cole, 54 of Newark will be held Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole died Thursday February 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1956 in Newark to the late Cayrol W. and Evelyn L. (Varner) Dixon.
Marie was active in the Newark Eagles # 387 Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Druids. She was formerly employed by the Licking Laundry. She enjoyed spending time gardening and playing euchre with friends.
She is survived by her children, Ginger Bailey and James Bailey both of Newark; grandchildren, Diana Fadley, Hannah Bailey, Skylar Trusler; brother, Walter Dixon of Texas; aunt, Ilene Coakley of Newark, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elamer Cole, who died December 19, 2005; two brothers Bob Dixon and Jay Dixon.
Calling hours will be observed Monday, February 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.. Eagle services will be conducted Monday evening at 5:45 p.m.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Multiple Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
