Lois E. Walpole's Obituary
Funeral services for Lois E. Walpole, 86 of Hanover will be held Friday August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Gary LaRue and Pastor Curt Martin officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Mrs. Walpole died August 27, 2018 at Chestnut House. She was born July 10, 1932 in Hopewell, Ohio to Clyde Eldon and Gladys (Francis) Shuey.
Mrs. Walpole was a 1950 graduate of Hopewell High School and an RN graduate of the Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed ceramics and had learned quilting. She loved her family and being a homemaker. Several of her high school class stayed in touch with a bi monthly lunch.
She is survived by her children, Darlene (Terry) Garee of Newark, Larry (Kathy) Walpole of Newark, Sharon (Curt) Martin of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Angie Miller, Kelly (Kent) Gonzalez, Ashley Garee, Jeremy (Stephanie) Walpole, Renae Martin, Jared Martin; ten great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William A. Walpole, March 30, 2003; sister, Mary Jean Clark and two nephews.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to Generation Hospice, 1435A W. Main Street, Newark or the Carol Strawn Center, 126 W. Church St. Newark. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
