Linda Whitis' Obituary
A funeral service for Linda Whitis, 68 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Whitis died July 4, 2011 at Newark Healthcare Center. She was born December 26, 1942 in Newark to the late Harry and Nova (Johnson) Bell. Mrs. Whitis enjoyed cooking and baking, shopping at the dollar store, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Diana (Darryl) Lehman of Newark, Gina (Jeff) McNaught of Heath; and Tammy Whitis of Newark; grandchildren, Abbey, Bryson, Michael and Marshall; and her special friends at Park Pizza.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitis was preceded in death by her husband Frank R. “Dick” Whitis, November 14, 2010; a son, Michael E. Whitis; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark, Ohio.
