Lillian I. Watson's Obituary
A funeral service for Lillian I. Watson, 88 of Newark will be held Saturday January 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jake Mobley and Pastor Darin Stambaugh officiating. Burial will be in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born October 26, 1923 in Marion, Virginia to the late Millard and Lessie (Greer) Sheets.
Mrs. Watson had attended the Newark Baptist Temple. She enjoyed caring for her family. She was happy at home performing yard work, gardening and canning her produce. In later years she shopped at yard sales.
She is survived by her children, Michael A. Watson of Newark, Patti Browning of Lucas, Ohio, Judy Binckley of Hebron; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Kelley, Jason Binckley, Tucker (Amanda) Binckley, Matthew (Mary) June, Barry (Diana) June, Lisa (Darin) Stambaugh, Kimberly (Jake) Mobley; fourteen great-grandchildren, Emily Kelley, Christian Kelley, Curt Stambaugh, Madelyn Stambaugh, Nicholas Binckley, Jonathan Binckley, Alexis June, Emma June, Jacob June, Brennan June, Liam June, Ezekiel Mobley, Ellie Binckley, Bailey Binckley; two great-great grandchildren, Noah Jackson, Kearha Kelley; sister, Virginia Crispin of Newark; brother, Charles (Doris) Sheets of Newark; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Watson on August 4, 1995; sisters, Louise Watson, Nina Hash; brothers Lace Sheets, James Sheets, Jess Sheets.
Calling hours will be observed Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
