Lila B. Saunders' Obituary
Lila B. Saunders, 88 of Heath died Thursday January 26, 2023 at the Arlington Care Center.
She was born February 19, 1934 in Highwater, OH to Nelson and Harriet (McDaniel) Baughman.
Lila retired from Licking Memorial Hospital in 1992 as a receptionist with 20 years of service.
She was a 1952 graduate of Granville High School. She looked forward to lunch with her girlfriends. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking. Her grandchildren especially delighted in her puddings and pineapple upside down cakes.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Riley) Moore; son, David Saunders; grandchildren, Colton Moore & Sarah, Ada Mayhew, Austin Moore & close family friend Ryan Caw; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Brooklyn, Ryder, Cameron; sister, Louise Sharp; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Martin. D. Saunders; daughter, Dee Gouker and brother, Richard Baughman.
Visitation will be observed Tuesday January 31st from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street.
