Lessie Mae Bryant's Obituary
Today, we mourn the loss of Miss Lessie Mae Bryant, age 82 of Newark, OH. Miss Bryant was born in Covington, GA on November 2nd in 1928. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011 at Hospice of Newark Healthcare Centre where she has been surrounded by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Esther and Lady Bebe-Bryant, and her daughter Delphine Bryant. To cherish her memory, she is survived by her children, Ronald (Jeannie) Bryant, Judy Ann (Phillip) Byrd; cousins, Frances (Don) Armstrong, Louise Driscoll; stepchildren, Eugene (Diane) Hadnot, Harold (Anne) Hadnot, Michael (Veronica) Hadnot, Loretta Jackson, Delores Reynolds; she also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
Miss Bryant was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for over 80 years. She was a member of the Royallettes, Four Hundred Club and a Daughter of Moundbuilders Temple # 551. She had been employed as a cook at the Carousel Restaurant and Denison University. She liked traveling and wearing jewelry. She appreciated the time spent with her family. Truly, we miss her dearly, but find comfort in knowing that she is safe in the arms of Jesus.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Miss Lessie Mae Bryant will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington Street with Reverend Dr. C. W. Noble officiating. Calling hours will be observed from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
