Dear Hazel,
So sorry about Leland, he was a very dear friend to Doug and I, I first met him when I was serving my second year on Deacon's at Second Presbyterian Church in 1988, and he came on. He became very close to Doug and I wonderful to talk to and he had a great sense of humor too. Very down to earth also. We were very close as we would see each other at church. I heard your message that you left for Doug last week to let us know and their wasn't a dry eye for sure. He was one of my volunteers in the Food Pantry for a long time, as we still are involved in that wonderful mission. We talked a lot about that too. Hazel you are very dear to us too, I remember when my Dad was at the James back in 1998 and you seen him several times. Was greateful for that. Your strong faith will get you through this. Just know all of your friends at Second Presbyterian are thinking of you.

Hazel,
Dona and I were so very sad to hear of Leeland's passing. We became friends while he was leading the divorce support group at Second Presbyterian in the early 90's. His service and kind heart helped so many people during a most difficult time in their lives. He was such a good friend and listener. God Bless.

Lee was such a kind, soft-spoken man. He had a great smile. I knew him from 2nd Pres., and later, at Granville Veterinary Clinic. He will certainly be missed.

I was saddened to hear of Leland's passing. He was a great guy, a kind and gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor. In my mind, I will always see him in his St. Regis softball uniform. Please accept my condolences.

I got to know Leland while working at PCA in the 80'ss and 90's. Such a nice and gentle person. I really enjoyed working with him. My condolences to his family which he loved very much.

I am saddened at Leland's passing. Many times coming to Newark and pass the paper company I would wonder how Leland was doing. In bells at Second Presbyterian Church he always had a pleasant smile and he and I would visit as we could. I am sorry for your loss.

I've known Leland since we were babies. His parents and mine were good friends and neighbors until we grew up and left the nest. He was always a kind and gentle person. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to all of the family.

So very sorry for your loss. Leland was an incredibly kind man. I worked with Leland for a short time at Licco and we shared many conversations. Leland was funny and we talked about family, faith and Buckeye football. He will truly be missed. God bless.
