Kenneth L. "Shrimp" White's Obituary
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Kenneth L. White, 68 of Newark who passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born November 1, 1952 in Whitmer, WVA to Lester R. and Betty (Vance) White.
He was a graduate of Harmon High School in Harmon, WVA. He retired in 2011 from the Newark Water Department with 30 years of service. He also had been employed as a driver for Arensburg Pharmacy. He played softball in area Men’s Leagues. He enjoyed fishing at Thomas J. Evans Park and traveling to West Virginia locations.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debra S. (Long) White; sons, Shawn (Misty Tillery) White, Cody White all of Newark; two grandchildren, Luca and Eric; siblings, Sue (Harry) Hardy, Pat (Wayne) Lambert, Harry White, Gary White, Philip (Sally) White, Catherine (Gary) VanDevender, James (Johnnie Mae) White, Leonard White, Mary (Doug) Knight, Peggy Owen, Karen (John) Shaver, Joyce (O.W.) White, Larry (Bonnie) White, Brian (Christina) White, Donald White; brother-in-law, Nelson “Buz” Long; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John White, William White.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, OH 43056.
