Kenneth M Price's Obituary
A funeral service for Kenneth M. Price 72 of Pinellas Park, Florida and formerly of Heath will be held Tuesday June 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Mr. Price died Wednesday June 15, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1944 in Brooksville, KY to Cecil and Jewell (Hiles) Price.
He retired in 2001 from Rockwell International with 40 years of service. He was a member of Local # 1037 UAW. He served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a great love for music and played several instruments and belonged to various bands during his life. He currently was a member of the “IIIrd Tyme Around” in Pinellas. He traveled to many Blue Grass Festivals including preforming at the Poppy Mountain Festival in Morehead, KY. He was a huge University of Kentucky basketball fan and an avid card player especially euchre. He would go fishing throughout his life whenever he had available time. He was awarded an Honorable Kentucky Colonel for his efforts as a volunteer firefighter with the Falmouth, KY Fire Department during the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire.
He is survived by his children, Krista (Danny) Price-Brooks and Kent Price all of Heath; grandchildren, Dustin Price, Rebecca Price, Trevor Price, Taylor Brooks, Kole Brooks; sister, Regina (Jim) Groninga of Clyde, TX; brother, Leonard (Lorriane) Price of Harrodsburg, KY; special friend, Donna Hodkinson of Pinellas Park, FL; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Glenda Stone and Brother, Larry Price.
Calling hours will be observed Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association 471 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
