Kenneth "David" Oakleaf's Obituary
Kenneth “David” Oakleaf, 61, of Granville, Ohio died Friday evening, September 7, 2012 at his home.
Born May 3, 1951 in Newark, Ohio he is the son of Kenneth H. and Mary (Hanners) Oakleaf of Granville. Mr. Oakleaf was a 1969 graduate of Utica High School and was an Army veteran serving during the Viet Nam War. He was retired from CSS Railroad where he worked in the maintenance department. David was a member of the VFW and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his parents is he wife Margaret L. (Bunting) Oakleaf whom he married July 4, 1981; a daughter, Darcy D. Oakleaf and a son, Jerrod D. Oakleaf. Also surviving are two brothers, Greg (Peg) Oakleaf of Bullhead, Arizona and Keith Oakleaf of Newark; a sister, Gina (Donald) Hughes of Granville; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
Calling hours will be from 11am to 1pm and from 3pm to 5pm Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Fredonia Baptist Church, 6673 North Street (St. Rt. 661) in Fredonia.
Funeral services will be at 5pm Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Fredonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Bruah officiating.
