I just saw this and am so sorry for your loss. I knew Kelly at Ashland College and he was one of the good guys. He never missed any of my lacrosse games and always had a hand shake and congrats after every game win or lose. This is one of the fond memories I have of my college days....R.I.P. Kelly

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. While serving as choirmaster at Saint James, it was a joy to have Kelly as a part of the group. He loved sharing his musical gifts with others. I pray the God of all comfort be with you and give you peace.
Some people may know this story, which includes Kelly. His Aunts, Betty and Alice, were the MATCH MAKERS of Licking Valley. Betty and Alice set up an introduction between Shaun Strahm and I at a Licking Valley Football game. Shaun and I fell in love at that football game. Well, my future mother-in-law, Ethel Strahm was good friends with Doris Barrick, who was Betty's and Alice's mother and Kelly's grandmother. I think that Shaun told his mom that we were going on a walk in BLACKHAND GORGE. So, either Betty and Alice or Doris got the news that Shaun and I were going on a date in BLACKHAND GORGE. So, Kelly was dispatched to look for Miss McBride and Shaun Strahm! I heard that Kelly drove over to Black Hand Gorge to look for us. Shaun and I only saw "stars!" We never saw Kelly! Kelly will be remembered as a happy, caring and kind person. It was difficult not to smile in his presence. He was a good father, son, brother and friend. My sincere condolences go out to family and friends. He will be missed.
I worked with Kelly at the Courthouse. I always enjoyed his stories and smile. He was so dedicated to his job and showed kindness in great capacity toward their process. What I loved most was his ability to remember you and your life. He would stop at my house on the way to his brothers and we would visit as if I just saw him the day prior. We talked about his family and of course how our beloved dogs were. Licking county has truly lost an incredible man. He loved his wife so much and his daughter he couldn't be more proud..my heart aches for you and the family..God Bless.
