Kathryn L. White's Obituary
A memorial service for Kathryn L. "Kathy" White, 56 of Newark will be held Saturday September 22, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor James Young officiating.
Kathy passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side after a long courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 10, 1962 in Newark to Charles W. and Linda (Wolfe) Cashdollar.
She was a 1981 graduate of Newark High School where she was a proud member of the marching band. She had a special place in her heart for seniors and retired as a manager in 2017 from Northtowne Senior Living in Newark. Nothing meant more to her than her boys; until of course, her granddaughters came along. She was a doting grandmother and a very proud devoted mother. She was an active participant in all aspects of both her sons’ lives; including serving as a commissioner at Mound City Little League, supporting the Licking County 4-H Band and being an officer in the Newark High School Band Parents club. She loved to scrapbook, especially when it involved a weekend away with friends. She was an active member of the Newark Navy moms and an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Her survivors include her mother, Linda Cashdollar of Newark; sons, Petty Officer First Class Earl Wray (Jenna) White of PA and Eric William (Alisa) White of Newark; granddaughters, Sophie W. and Sadie W. White of PA; brother, Christopher W. Cashdollar of Newark; special “sister” Roseann (Sickles) Sparks of Newark; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her father, Charles Cashdollar, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be observed Saturday September 22, 2018 from 4 to 6 pm at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P. O. Box 430 Newark, OH 43058-0430.
