Kate Vansickle's Obituary
Kate Vansickle, 81, of Adamsville, died Tuesday afternoon, November 16, 2021 at her home.
Born September 22, 1940 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles Adams and Bessie (White) Gallis and a 1958 graduate from Adamsville High School. Kate was a homemaker, farmer and mother who dedicated her entire life to her family. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and a home body who enjoyed canning and sewing with her daughters.
Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years, Paul L. Vansickle whom she married, June 6, 1959; a daughter, Susan (Jim) Untied of Dresden; a son, Paul David Vansickle of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Renee (Jarrod) Dennis, Kelly J. Baker, James L. Baker, Vanessa (Clark) Hartum, Justin (Kelsey) Untied, Brandon Untied and Janessa Untied; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina L. Baker.
Friends and family may call Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Minister Steve Foster officiating. Kate will be laid to rest at Bethesda Church Cemetery near Adamsville.
