Karen Sue Hanger's Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Karen Sue Hanger, 59 of Newark will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Heath United Methodist Church, 1149 Hebron Road, with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hanger died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1951 in Newark to the late Charles and Evelyn (Thompson) Williams.
Mrs. Hanger, a homemaker for most of her life was most recently employed in the office of Shelly Co. A graduate of Newark High School, she had completed training as a medical coding technician at C-Tech. She was a member of the Y City Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed touring on the Harley with her husband and traveling. She would spend many hours reading. Her great love in life was spending time with her family; especially being with her grandchildren.
Survived by her husband, Richard Hanger, whom she married August 29, 2002; daughter, Kristina Ramey of Newark; son, Jonathan Richardson of Newark, step-sons, Cory Hanger of Granville, Casey (Dana) Hanger of CT; grandchildren, Dane Ramey, Michaela Hanger, and Riley Hanger; sisters, Charlene (Don) McLaughlin, Sandi (Dave) Burford, and Sheryl (Steve) Miller; brothers, Joe (Fran) Williams and Ron Williams, all of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be observed 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
