Julia K. "Judy" Hollister Fleischer's Obituary
A funeral service for Julia K. Fleischer, 92 of Newark will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Betsy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Fleischer died Tuesday April 5, 2016 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 28, 1923 in Newark to the late Arthur and Anna May (Walker) Dayton.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1999. She enjoyed time she spent at the Buckeye Lake cottage and playing euchre.
Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Suzanne Hollister and Dixie Hollister both of Newark; grandchildren, Aimee Hollister of Newark, Mike (Stephanie) Hollister of San Diego, CA, Theresa (Mike) Brown of Pataskala, Lisa Rizer of Newark; several great-grandchildren; cousins and church family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Martin Hollister, Rodney Fleischer; step-sons, William M. Hollister, Jr, Joseph E. Hollister.
Calling hours will be observed Saturday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Special Music Fund in care of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 N. 5th Street, Newark, Ohio 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
