Juanita J. Wentz's Obituary
A funeral service for Juanita J. Wentz, 89 of Heath will be held Friday April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Frail officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Juanita died Monday April 16, 2018 at the Arlington Care Center. She was born March 21, 1929 in New Lexington to Ira Clifford and Iva Mae (King) Strait.
Mrs. Wentz retired from First Federal Savings and Loan. She had also been employed in the office at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Candlelighters. She and her husband participated in several Freedom Years trips. She enjoyed knitting and playing the piano and organ.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Norman R. Wentz; sister-in-law, Ina Strait of MI; niece, Jolyne (David) Bartley of IN; nephews, David (Mary Lou) Strait, Philip Strait all of MI, Robert (Belinda) Wentz of Marion; several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Dr. C. Neil Strait; brother-in-law, Charles Wentz.
Visitation will be observed Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
The family requests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221 or The Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
