Johnna K. Starner's Obituary
Johnna K. Starner, 67, of Zanesville, died Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022 at Genesis Hospice- Morrison House.
Born January 9, 1955 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John William and Catherine E. (McDonald) Headley and a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Johnna worked at The Longaberger Company for 10 years in Manufacturing, seven years at Annin making flags and a cashier at Aramark. She was a member of Quilting Bee’s and donated quilts to the Redcross. Johnna loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting Pheasants.
Surviving is her husband of 46 years, Earl E. Starner Jr., whom she married January 17, 1976; two daughters, Jodie (Clint) Cornell of Virginia and Karen (James) Dunn of West Virginia; two granddaughters, Catherine Gallogy and Kailyn Cornell; three sisters, Emma (Tom) Bartin of St. Louis, Mo, Edna Deeds of Dresden and Deloris Carter of New Concord; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Unger and Earlene R. (William) Corban; brother-in-law, Dean Prince and her fur dog, LuLu.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Earl Starner III; two sisters, Dorothy Longaberger and Evelyn Prince; a brother, Don Headley and three brothers-in-law, Larry Longaberger, Fred Deeds and Edward “Beaner” Carder.
Friends and family may call from 1:00- 4:00PM on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM at the funeral home on Monday, April 4, 2022 with Pastor Cameron Godfrey officiating.
Johnna will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden.
