John F. Helphrey's Obituary
NEWARK: John F. Helphrey, Jr., 67 of Thornville died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Born, November 19, 1946 in Newark to the late John F. “Pete” Helphrey, Sr. and Helen (VanFossen) Helphrey. Mr. Helphrey worked for over 35 years at Owens-Corning. He enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting at Trout’s.
Survivors include his son, John W. (Carrie) Helphrey of Newark; daughters, Lori (Mark) Dwiggins, June (James) Britton; sisters, Judith (Charlie) Hollar, Joan (Rick) Crozier, all of Newark; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In accordance with Mr. Helphrey’s wishes there will be no calling hours or service. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dawes Arboretum.
