I can remember John as the hard nosed linebacker on our LVHS football team decking opposing running backs. And on offense clearing the way for our running backs as a pulling guard. He was a great football player and team mate. Such a hard worker. Such a great team mate. He wore a collar on his shoulder pads and looked like horns on a bull in a China shop. He was always upbeat and positive. I can see him now in the Summer August heat of 2 a days and in the freezing rains of October and frozen fields of Fall. Later in life he helped us out greatly by farming on our place in Flint Ridge cutting hay, planting corn and grains. He kept the fields clean. We rode around in his UTV KUBOTA and talked about the football games. I was shocked and so greatly saddened to learn he had passed away suddenly. I will miss him so much. Thank you John for all you did and for who you are; you will be missed greatly.
