John G. Bardsley, Jr.'s Obituary
A memorial service for John G. Bardsley, Jr., 84 of Newark will be held Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Biggers officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
A visitation will be observed from 5 p.m. until the services.
An additional memorial service will be held at Noon on Thursday June 15, 2017 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1011 Anna Lane, Sellersville, PA
Mr. Bardsley died Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.He was born May 28, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to John George and Catherine (McLaughlin) Bardsley, Sr.
He was retired as a machinist at the Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Kathryn (Zielinski) Bardsley; sons, John (Anita) Bardsley of Ft. Pierce, FL, Robert (Susan) Bardsley of Hollywood, VA, David Bardsley of Newark, OH; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Susan (Bruno) Ranniello of Hartford, CT, Sister Kathryn Bardsley of Bensalem, PA; daughter-in-law, Ruth Bardsley of Levittown, PA; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Bardsley; sisters, Wilma Simko, Dorothy Barry and brother, William Bardsley.
