Jill E. Meisenhelder's Obituary
A funeral service for Jill E. Meisenhelder, 57 of Frazeysburg will be held Friday December 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Gus Andrews officiating.
Mrs. Meisenhelder died Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born February 25, 1953 in Newark to Louise (Jones) Smith of Heath and the late William C. Clark.
Jill was a devoted and loving wife, mother and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew her. Jill was currently employed at Highlander Cleaners for the past eight years. Formerly she was employed for 35 years with R.W. Smith Asphalt and Paving. She was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her favorite time was spent at her grandson’s sporting events. She loved animals, attending car shows, and searching for antiques and crafts.
She is survived by her mother, Louise (Jones) Smith of Heath; husband of 39 years Michael J. Meisenhelder, whom she married November 8, 1971; two daughters, Kari Meisenhelder of Newark, Misti (Devin) Hudak of Columbus; grandson, Kamron Keller-Meisenhelder; sister, Tracey (David) Carpenter of Newark; sister-in-law, Helen Brandt of Newark; brother-in-law, Ralph “Buck” Meisenhelder of Frazeysburg; nieces, Julia (Jon) Holtz, Raegan Carpenter; nephews, Samuel(Angela) Brandt, Gunnar Carpenter; several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ralph L. Smith; uncle, Ralph Jones, grandparents, Charles and Mary Jones; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Joseph Meisenhelder.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
