Jetta "Petey" Wiemer's Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Jetta G. "Petey" Wiemer, 83 of Newark will be Friday June 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heath Church of Christ, 1331 Chapel Way, with Greg Robbins officiating. Calling hours will be observed from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Mrs. Wiemer died Tuesday June 16, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born March 14, 1932 in Zanesville to James and Ada Honnold. She was formerly employed as a librarian at the Westland Branch of the Columbus Library. She was a member of Heath Church of Christ where she actively volunteered in many activities. She was an avid reader. She loved baking and was well known for her fudge. A very important part of her life was her family and she spent as much time as possible with them.
She is survived by daughters, Beverlee Carmichael of Heath, Misty (Scott) Lowry of St. Louisville, Katie J. (Danny) Good of Heath; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Janice (Bob) Wheeler of Sonora; step-children, Joy Wiemer Tolliver, Jamie Wiemer, Jimmy Wiemer; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Wiemer; a daughter, Kelly Lewis; sisters, Dorothy Campbell, Irene Evans; brother, Dean Honnold.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Heath Church of Christ or the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.
