Jerry A. Bowman's Obituary
Jerry A. Bowman, 83 of Nashport, died Tuesday afternoon, August 2, 2022 at Genesis Hospice–Morrison House.
Born February 1, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio a son of the late Thomas and Edna (Phillips) Bowman and a member of the North Salem Community Church in Kimbolton, Ohio. Jerry was a United States Navy Veteran and retired after 45 years of services from Newark Air Force Base. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and rabbit hunter.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Skip) Nutter and Sylvia (Mark) Robinson; twelve grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Hanson; a brother, John (America) Bowman and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris L. Bowman, who died December 16, 2017; two daughters, Debar Carr and Sherry Lucas; a granddaughter; Brandy Wagner and a brother, Thomas Bowman.
Friends and family may call Monday, August 8, 2022 from 12:00pm till time of the service at 2:00pm at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Jerry will be laid to rest next to his wife at New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville, Ohio.
