Jeffrey W. Acord's Obituary
A funeral service for Jeffrey W. Acord, 44 of St. Louisville will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Wayt officiating.
Jeff died Tuesday January 5, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident He was born December 8, 1971 in Newark to Wayne and Martha (Dobson) Acord of St. Louisville.
He currently was employed by Hendrickson International. He was a formerly employed by Meritor for 20 years. He was a former member of Local #1037 UAW and IBEW. He enjoyed bowling and was active in the Tuesday Evening Leagues at Redskin Lanes. His favorite past times involved auto sports including mud running, off roading and drag racing, His favorite NASCAR drivers were the Earnhardt’s. He spent many hours restoring two vehicles. He was a devoted friend and family member and was the first to help in a time of need.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Pamela S. (Hupp) Acord; sister, Jody (Rick) McFarland of Warsaw; nieces, Tasha (Jacob) Albaugh of Port Washington, Kristi McFarland of Warsaw; step-children, David Umstott and Vickie Evans of Florida, Nicole (Matt) Ross of Newark; step-grandchildren, Gabriel, Leland, Adrian, Oliver Ross; great nieces, Brooklyn and Harper Albaugh; lifelong friend, Ryan (Tammy) Bagent of St. Louisville; aunts and uncles, Allen (Betsy) Dobson of Warsaw, Jenny (Gail) Moran of Newark, Thelma (Forrest) Smythe of Newark, Ronnie (Sheila) Acord of Buckeye Lake, Emerson (Phyllis) Acord of Hanover, Nancy (Arland) Zimmerman of Newark, Alma (Ralph) Wright; many cousins and close friends.
Calling hours will be observed Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the NEWARK CHAPEL, VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 West Main St., Newark.
