We are so very sorry for your loss. Jeff was a great man.
Peggy and family- I am so very, very sorry for your loss! Mr Butler was an awesome teacher and such a fantastic coach- he really championed for his students. You all are in my heart and prayers.
I'm so sorry for your loss Peggy.
My first memories of Jeff were playing basketball on the mean streets of Dresden. I quickly learned that when on Jeff's team you kept your head up or you'd soon receive a pass you weren't expecting and you'd get the ball in your face.
His classes were always the most fun and are some of my fondest memories of high school.
I also remember him showing me and some friends the first compact disc player I'd ever seen or heard. I'm not sure why I remember that, but I just remember it being very cool. It was always great running into Jeff (and you) over the years. We always seemed to pick up where we left off. Mostly talking about basketball, the Scotties, and old times in Dresden.
I was incredibly sorry to hear about his passing. All my love to you and rest of the Butler family.
Condolences to the family
Enjoyed working with Jeff thru the
Southern Ohio Bass Club
With his high school fishing program
My prayers and deepest sympathy to Peggy, Calib and the entire Butler Family.
The first year my family moved to this community in 1967, I was greeted as a first grader, from the seat of a big yellow bus, by my driver, Mr. Dan Butler. Little did I know in the next 55 years, I would have a continued connection with the Butler family. From being special friends in grade school with DeeDee Butler, having Mr. Dan Butler as a high school teacher, years later, me having the privilege of being the teacher to many Butler grandchildren and Butler family members coaching my son in sports. The Butler family has been a rock for this community. Although I was not acquainted with Jeff as with other Butler Siblings, I know he had a good heart and compassion for helping kids. He and Peggy made a great team. I know this community will embrace your family with love and support. God Bless
I loved Jeff as a player, student, coach, and teacher. I can tell all that he was always a man. Jeff could and did take charge. My sympathies to Peggy and his entire family.
To the Butler and Barnhard Families, Jeff's passing is a big loss to people of all ages. He engaged all people, taught and coached many students, and had a willingness to help anybody who needed help. Fairness, Kindness, and sportsmanship, along with his leadership intelligence, strength, strong work ethic, and friendly demeanor. These are the skills he used twenty four -seven in life. Jeff will continue to use those skills in Heaven, and God will put him to work. I once told Jeff, that he was the best big game player I ever played with in basketball. The bigger the game, the better he played and contributed to the victory or championship. Jeff was a CHAMPION, husband, father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, coach, teacher, classmate, friend, and teammate. Anybody he ever encountered on the lake, in the woods, ringing the bells at Christmas time on the sidewalks to fill the kittles, basketball court, boat docks, baseball and football fields, football film route, up on a paint ladder, weight room, under the hood of a car, fixing a boat engine, golf course, or sport camps. They would have a friend for life in Jeff Butler. My wife and I are proud to call Jeff Butler our friend and CHAMPION. And last, I would like to mention that when Jeff and I played on or against one another at the legion hall courts our basketball shorts or legs didn't have black charred ashes on the back of our legs from the railroad tie that was used as a resting bench. We had a long lasting friendship for life. From Lintz 22 to Butz 22 RIP My CHAMPION friend.
Peggy I was so happy when you met Jeff because I did not have to worry about you anymore. You had finally met your soulmate. My thoughts and prayers are with you my cousin Peggy along with Calib, Kayla, your dear grandchildren and the whole Butler family. I love you all. ♥
Mr. Butler was my biology teacher @ Tri-Valley in the 1983-84 school year. He was hands down my favorite teacher. Great guy both in and out of the classroom. RIP Mr. Butler
