Jean Carol Bathrick's Obituary
Jean Carol Bathrick, 80, of Dresden, died Monday evening, March 17, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room, Zanesville.
Born November 13, 1944, in East Palestine, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Wilma (Welch) Hulton and a 1962 graduate from East Palestine High School. She went on to earn her degree in nursing from Youngstown Hospital's School of Nursing. Jean was a registered nurse for 12 years at Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville. After retirement, she dedicated her love, time and energy to being the best mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her proudest achievements.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Charles Martin Bathrick, whom she married April 22, 1967; three children, Daniel (Stephanie) Bathrick, Marc Bathrick, and Chrissy (Travis) Cunningham; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Janet Wolfe; daughter-in-law, Heather Bathrick; a special niece, Jackie Richey; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Bathrick; and a brother, Donald Hulton.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am, Friday, March 21, 2025, at Dresden Cemetery with Pastor Dan Wells officiating.
Jean will be laid to rest at the Dresden Cemetery.
