Janice K. Bishop's Obituary
Janice Kay Bishop, 73, of New Concord, died Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021 at her home.
Born November 26, 1948 in Clinton, Ohio a daughter of the late Harley and Helen (Matheny) Starcher. Janice was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving is a son, Jerry (Lorena) Bishop; a daughter, Renee Mizer; eight grandchildren, Justin Bishop, Dakota Mizer, Macey Mizer, Laney Mizer, Brittany Lautzenheiser, Caitlin Lautzenheiser and Kalix; a great grandson, Bryson Lautzenheiser; two step-granddaughters, Shyenne Swartz and Breanna Humphrey; a sister, June (John) McCort, a brother, Ralph (Vonnie) Starcher and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Douglas Bishop, whom died on July 15, 2006; a grandson, Gavin Mizer; four brothers, Dick Matheny, Glenn, Leonard and Earl Starcher and three sisters, Betty Janeczek, Irene Starcher and Lois Norsworthy-Cunningham.
Friends and family may call from 10:00am till time of service at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Jimmy Matheny officiating.
Janice will be laid to rest next to her husband at Adamsville Baptist Cemetery, Adamsville.
