Janice D. Anthony's Obituary
A funeral service for Janice Anthony, 82 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Newark Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dan Meek officiating. Burial will be at Barnes Cemetery.
Mrs. Anthony passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 25, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Albert and Sara (Young) Smith. Mrs. Anthony sold Avon for over 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Carl B. Anthony; children, Carl L. Anthony, William J. Anthony, both of Newark, Robin Stapleton of Marion, NC, Carla Jean (Marvin) McDaniel of Marysville and Penny Fisk of Newark; grandchildren, Christy France, Adam (Rachel) Stapleton, Joshua (Christy) Breece and Tia Marie Leach; great grandchildren, Jalen France, Alexander France, Zavier France, Leland France, Marquis France, Austin Stapleton, Shavayia Stapleton,Devlin Stapleton, Leon Breece, Kalliope Edens and William Barney.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Sean Michael Breece.
Friends and family may call from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church, 200 S. Williams Street, Newark, OH.
