James J. Cochran's Obituary
HEATH: A funeral service for James J. Cochran , Jr. 53 of Heath will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Church of God at God’s Acres with Pastor Roger L. Decker officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Cochran died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 2, 1958 in Dayton to the late James J. and Thelma (Burns) Cochran, Sr. Mr. Cochran worked as a Regional Project Manager for Command Alkon. He was a member of the Church of God, God’s Acres. He will be remembered for his determination, generosity of spirit and his unique sense of humor. He was the quintessential family man. The only thing more important than family, was God.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Kay E. (Young) Cochran, whom he married June 5, 1982; their children, Benjamin (Justina) Cochran of Newark, Michelle Nicole (Kathleen Overturf) Cochran, Nicholas Cochran, both of Heath; a grandson, Ryland James Cochran; sisters, Connie (Bruce) Bernhardt of Annandale, VA., Barb (Pat) Cullen of Dayton, and Terri (Larry) Guilfoyle of College Corner; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Christy.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark; and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church, 675 N. Cedar St., Newark.
