Ishimel L. Crabtree's Obituary
A funeral service for Ishimel L. Crabtree, 84 of Thornville will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home Wednesday December 12, 2018 with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. Burial will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg.
Calling hours will be observed Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service.
Mr. Crabtree passed away Friday December 7, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born August 8, 1934 in Louisa, KY to the late Marion and Hazel Crabtree.
Mr. Crabtree had been employed as an engineer for ATT, Thurman Scale and retired from Keystone Powdered Metal. He and his wife Esther traveled extensively during retirement. He enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and watching all types of sport programming. He loved family activities and spending time with his wife.
He is survived by two grandchildren, Autumn (Brad) Spicer of Thornville, Andrew (Amanda Marvin) Crabtree of Newark; great-grandchildren, Noah Crabtree, Adam Spicer, Alivia Spicer, Anna Spicer, Ashley Spicer, Alan Spicer, Amanda Spicer, Charles (Cassie) Weissenburger; sisters, Linda (Roger) Ellis of Obetz, Violet Schryer of Warrensburg, NY, Gail (John) Ross of Groveport, Rosemary Hill of Columbus, Maxine Rogers of Grove City, Elizabeth (Gary) Albaugh of Galloway
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Esther (Morris) Crabtree; son, Leo C. Crabtree; 2 brothers; 3 sisters.
