Helen M. McCoy's Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Helen M. McCoy, 95 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Gill and Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McCoy died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born March 9, 1922 in Woodsfield, OH to the late Glen and Alice (Snell) Roth.
Mrs. McCoy was a self-employed beautician for over 60 years; a member of Central Christian Church and Toll Painters. She enjoyed attending local theatre including the Licking County Players and Weathervane Playhouse.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Tom) Bodle of Newark; a son, Richard (Darlene) McCoy of Leonardtown, MD; grandchildren, Jason (Krystal) McCoy of Cedar City, UT, Lisa Dupler, Nky Zarhrdt, both of Columbus, Jill (Mark) Salina of Newark; great grandchildren, Abigail McCoy, Brenna McCoy, Teegan Dupler-Zahrndt, Landen Salina; step-grandchildren, Alicia (Ron) Nicodemus, Diana Montgomery, Kara Bodle; step-great grandchildren, Zachary and Mackenzie O’Flaherty, Lexi Bodle, Megan, Cameron and Ethan Montgomery; a sister, Twila Grimm of Middletown, OH; and special friends Vickie Bope and Jan French; the caregivers at Newark Hills, Price Road Health and Hospice of Central Ohio, especially Shannon.
In addition to her parents Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her husband Richard McCoy, November 19, 2005; sisters, Lois (Doc) Ford; and Irene (Orville) Walker.
Friends and family may call 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
